Job Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dependable, and knowledgeable Part-Time Budtender to join our retail team. In this role, you will be the face of the dispensary, providing personalized customer service, processing transactions accurately, and educating the community on high-quality, locally sourced cannabis products.

Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement:

Provide personalized, one-on-one consultations to guide customers through our curated selection. Answer questions about strains, consumption methods, and dosages with confidence and accuracy. Point of Sale (POS): Efficiently and accurately process cash and electronic transactions, maintaining precise drawer counts and compliance standards.

Dispensary Operations:

Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting dispensary environment. Assist with restocking inventory and visual merchandising.

Compliance & Education:

Stay up-to-date on New York State Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) regulations, local product menus, and industry trends.

Teamwork:

Multitask effectively in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining a positive, collaborative attitude with coworkers.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Age Requirement:

Must be 21 years of age or older (Required by NYS law).

Experience:

Minimum 1 year of retail or customer service experience demonstrating excellent communication skills.

Cash Handling:

Proven experience managing transactions accurately under pressure.

Skills:

Strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Attributes:

High reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.

Background Check:

Must be able to pass any state-required background checks for cannabis retail employees. Preferred Experience (Bonus Points): Previous experience working in a licensed cannabis dispensary. In-depth knowledge of local New York State cannabis strains, producers, and processors. Familiarity with current NYS cannabis compliance and regulations.
