Duties Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to meet their needs Assist customers with product selection, offering detailed product options and upselling when appropriate Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays, stocking shelves, and ensuring products are attractively presented Conduct inventory checks, stock replenishment, and manage stock levels to support sales goals Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely Support the store's promotional efforts through product demonstrations and engaging communication skills Experience Prior retail sales experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities in a team environment Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and basic retail math ensures smooth transaction processing Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments enhances understanding of customer service expectations Strong communication skills, including active listening and clear articulation, are essential for success in this role Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting
