Patient Greeter Job Description The Patient Greeter is responsible for providing front-desk support within a busy medical pavilion. This individual serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors entering the facility and plays a key role in creating a welcoming, organized, and efficient entry experience. The role focuses on check-in support, wayfinding, and basic administrative assistance to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the building. Responsibilities Greet patients, visitors, and vendors in a professional, courteous, and welcoming manner. Check patients into the building and verify basic registration or appointment information as needed. Provide directions and general information to assist patients in locating departments, offices, or services within the medical pavilion. Manage high-volume foot traffic and phone inquiries while maintaining excellent customer service. Enter and update visitor or patient information accurately in electronic systems, as required. Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to support smooth patient flow throughout the facility. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and facility policies and procedures. Monitor front desk and waiting areas to ensure a safe, organized, and clean environment. Support general front-desk and administrative tasks as assigned. Essential Skills Experience with healthcare and EMR systems. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to manage front desk operations and clerical tasks. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications 2+ years of experience as a Medical Receptionist. High School Diploma required. Work Environment The work schedule is flexible with options for different shifts. Schedule 1 includes working Sunday from 2:00 PM to 12:45 AM, Monday and Tuesday from 4:30 PM to 12:45 AM, and Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:15 PM, totaling 32 hours a week. Schedule 2 includes working the same days and times as Schedule 1, with an additional shift on Saturday from 5:00 PM to 12:45 AM, totaling 40 hours a week. The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, providing an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a busy healthcare organization. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spring Valley, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
