Syracuse, NY, Rochester, NY, Central New York. Job Overview We are seeking a variety of character look-alikes to bring magic and joy to children's birthday parties and special events. (You don't even need a performing background to apply - we can teach you everything you need to know) As a Birthday Party & Events Performer, you will embody beloved characters such as princesses, heroes, and other fun personalities, creating memorable experiences for guests of all ages. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine creativity, entertainment, and exceptional customer service in a lively, family-friendly environment. Prior experience in hospitality, or guest services is a plus, but a passion for entertaining children and their families and making their day special is essential. The position involves active participation in themed events, ensuring guests have an unforgettable time while maintaining safety and professionalism throughout each event. Duties Perform as various characters including princesses, heroes, or other themed personas to entertain children and guests during parties and events Self study and continued effort to learn and grow Engage children with storytelling, games, and interactive activities that align with the event theme Manage event logistics such as guest interactions, crowd control, and conflict resolution in a friendly manner Assist with event setup and cleanup to ensure a smooth flow of activities Handle guest inquiries professionally, providing excellent customer service from greeting guests to addressing special requests Manage cash handling responsibilities if applicable during event transactions or sales Coordinate with team members to ensure all aspects of the event run seamlessly Maintain character costumes and props in pristine condition for each performance Uphold safety standards at all times, including awareness of guest safety and emergency procedures Qualifications Excellent customer service and guest relations skills to create a welcoming atmosphere Ability to manage conflicts calmly and effectively in high-energy environments A longing to learn or improve skills such as performing, improv, public speaking, leadership and more! Outgoing personality with the ability to perform confidently in costume or character roles Physical stamina for active movement during performances and setup/cleanup tasks This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about bringing magic and core memories to families in CNY.
