Whether assisting with product knowledge or managing the register, your contributions will be vital to our store's success and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide knowledgeable assistance on wine and liquor selections, including product demos when applicable Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to process sales accurately and handle cash, credit, and gift card transactions with precision Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure products are attractive and accessible Conduct regular stocking duties to keep inventory levels optimal and ensure product freshness and availability Assist customers with product inquiries, upselling opportunities, and recommendations to enhance their shopping experience Manage phone etiquette professionally when answering questions or taking orders over the phone Support merchandising efforts by setting up promotional displays and ensuring compliance with store standards Skills Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures in a retail or grocery store environment Supervising experience is preferred to help oversee daily operations and assist team members as needed Ability to perform retail math accurately for pricing, discounts, and inventory counts Strong communication skills in both verbal and written forms; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers Customer service excellence with a friendly attitude, active listening skills, and patience Knowledge of alcohol laws, regulations, and responsible sales practices Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly for cashiering and stock management tasks Experience with merchandising, product demos, upselling techniques, and grocery store operations is highly desirable Join us in creating a lively shopping environment where every customer leaves satisfied!
