This role is vital in ensuring smooth daily store functions, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining a well-organized, profitable grocery department. As a Grocery Team Lead, you will leverage your leadership skills, retail expertise, and product knowledge to motivate your team, optimize inventory management, and uphold high standards of store presentation. Your energetic approach will help create a welcoming shopping environment that keeps customers coming back. Duties Lead and supervise daily grocery store operations, including stocking, merchandising, and checkout processes Train and develop team members in customer service, sales techniques, inventory control, POS (Point of Sale) systems, and safety procedures Manage inventory levels through effective purchasing, stock replenishment, and stock rotation strategies Oversee pricing accuracy and implement promotional displays to maximize sales opportunities Ensure excellent customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and resolving issues efficiently Conduct employee orientation sessions, interviews for new hires, and ongoing performance evaluations Handle cash handling responsibilities with accuracy and integrity while supervising cashiering activities Coordinate shift schedules to ensure optimal coverage during peak hours and manage payroll records accordingly Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety regulations through regular inspections Skills Strong leadership skills with proven supervising or assistant manager experience in retail or grocery settings Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and customers in multiple languages if applicable Proficiency in inventory management systems, POS technology, and retail math for accurate sales tracking and pricing strategies Skilled in negotiation, purchasing, merchandising, and marketing to drive sales growth Experience with employee orientation, training & development programs, and team management techniques Knowledge of budgeting, bookkeeping, payroll processing, cash handling procedures, and store management best practices Ability to multitask efficiently with exceptional organizational skills and time management capabilities Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively Demonstrated ability to handle retail sales environments with professionalism and enthusiasm Join our team as a Grocery Team Lead Experienced to make a meaningful impact on our store's success!
