The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while driving sales and enhancing the overall shopping experience. This position requires a friendly demeanor, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Duties Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations. Utilize upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and increase sales. Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to effectively assist customers. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for transactions and returns. Ensure the sales floor is well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing. Assist in supervising junior staff members when required, fostering a collaborative team environment. Handle customer inquiries professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Perform basic math calculations for transactions and inventory management. Support inventory management by assisting with stock counts and product replenishment. Experience Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as this can enhance customer interactions. Familiarity with POS systems is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers. A proactive attitude towards learning new sales techniques and product knowledge.
