As both cheesemakers and cheesemongers, we are passionate about crafting and sharing exceptional artisan cheeses. At Granville Creamery, our team handcrafts award-winning cheeses and seasonally inspired provisions using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. At North Market, our cheesemongers create an authentic, full-service, cut-to-order cheese shopping experience, helping customers discover and enjoy some of the finest artisan cheeses available. Position Overview We are currently seeking enthusiastic, customer-focused Part-Time Cheesemongers to join our North Market team. We offer competitive hourly pay plus tips, and full-time opportunities may be available for experienced candidates. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has a passion for artisan foods, and wants to be part of a small business that supports local producers and our regional food community. What We're Looking For Successful candidates will have: A strong desire to learn and grow Excellent communication and customer service skills Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities An interest in artisan foods, cheese, and local agriculture A positive attitude and a commitment to creating exceptional customer experiences Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to safely handle large-format cheese wheels and inventory Food service, retail, or customer service experience is preferred. Basic food safety knowledge is a plus. Must be willing to taste and enjoy cheese. Responsibilities Provide outstanding customer service and hospitality Educate customers about our cheeses and specialty food offerings Help guests select products that meet their tastes and needs Cut, wrap, and merchandise cheese and retail items Maintain product quality, freshness, and inventory standards Keep workspaces clean, organized, and professional Follow food safety and sanitation procedures Why Join Us?
