Retail Store Sales Associate, Full-Time , The Blind Factory - Hilliard, OH Carrying on the legacy and tradition of a family-owned and operated business that launched nearly forty years ago manufacturing window blind products for customers, today The Blind Factory is an independent dealer focused on providing modern, high-quality, custom window covering and shading solutions for commercial and residential clientele. We offer diverse brand and product choices from many of the world's top manufacturers and couple these products with personalized services from design consultation, professional installation, and product support. Additionally, we're transforming the company's business operations including making numerous updates to our retail store, office and warehouse spaces, as well as improving the processes and technology that we use every day within the business. The Blind Factory is looking for a motived, driven, outgoing, friendly, Retail Store Sales Associate to engage and consult with customers as they explore window treatment options that fit the needs for their homes and lifestyles. From shades, blinds, shutters, custom soft treatments, outdoor screens, and fully automated whole-home window covering systems, you'll be responsible for understanding client requirements, guiding customers through a wide selection of product options, and recommending custom solutions based on style, privacy, light and temperature control, and budget. Key Responsibilities Receive hands-on training on brand products and company systems and processes in order to develop a working understanding and knowledgebase base of the company's product offerings and services to provide consultative recommendations and quotations to clientele Provide guidance on numerous product types from leading brand manufacturers including blinds, shades, screens, soft treatments, and more Develop, present, and follow-up on detailed custom proposals for customer projects, process orders, and ensure execution of projects to ensure smooth delivery for customers Engage with manufacturers' representatives for training, expertise, and proposal assistance in pursuit of closing sales with customers and growing the company business Acquire a hands-on working knowledge of company and manufacturer software systems used for day-to-day operations of the business, customer project quoting and sales, training, scheduling, and reference of detailed product specifications Work closely with management, sales, and service teams to provide in-store sales coverage, schedule consultations and installations, and ensure overall client satisfaction Address company-provided incoming sales leads, answer calls, and greet and assist walk-in customers with warmth and professionalism Stay informed of changing product lines, features, and customization options Support the ongoing pursuit of the company's process improvements with the goal of modernization, digital tools and processes, efficiency, and growth of the business Assist daily in maintaining a clean, inviting, and well-organized store and work environment Qualifications Sales experience including meeting weekly, monthly and annual sales targets and objectives Direct selling and/or retail sales and customer service experience preferred Driven to support achievement of personal and company goals and objectives Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while simultaneously working on multiple customer projects Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Comfortable working independently and within a small, collaborative team Outgoing, personable, approachable, and confident in communicating and working with customers, employees, suppliers, and commercial business partners Natural sense of style and interest in home design and functionality Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, customer resource management (CRM) systems, Order Management Solutions, and pricing and scheduling software systems is preferred Background in design is a bonus Ability to make recommendations to improve company business processes and ways of working College degree preferred but not required Availability during standard business hours Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM EST, and Saturdays from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM. Work hours are negotiable. Retail store are hours subject to change. Compensation Package to include base pay and variable commissions tied to sales performance.
