Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Produce Team Member and become a vital part of delivering fresh, quality produce to our customers! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper stocking, merchandising, and maintenance of produce items while providing excellent customer service. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create an inviting shopping environment that keeps customers coming back. Whether managing inventory, operating equipment, or assisting shoppers, your contributions will help us maintain a vibrant and efficient produce department. Duties Stock and replenish produce displays efficiently using tools such as pallet jacks and RF scanners to ensure freshness and presentation standards are met. Manage inventory control by conducting regular stock checks, updating records, and utilizing warehouse experience to track product movement accurately. Operate equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks safely to load, unload, and transport produce within the warehouse and sales floor. Assist customers with their selections, answer questions about produce items, and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their shopping experience. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the produce area, including cleaning displays, packaging products properly, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Support shipping & receiving processes by preparing orders for delivery or transfer to other store locations. Engage in merchandising activities such as arranging displays attractively and implementing promotional signage to boost sales. Qualifications Previous warehouse experience or retail grocery store background preferred; familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift while maintaining proper ergonomic practices. Skilled in using RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts (certification preferred), and other warehouse equipment. Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail for stock control and product presentation. Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases. Knowledge of grocery store operations including stocking, packaging, merchandising, cashiering, and retail math.
