Job Description
Summary/Objective The Retail Store Associate is passionate about animals and their health. These individuals find motivation in greeting customers, identifying their needs, educating them on our products and recommending suitable products to improve the health of their animals. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Greet and engage customers, identify their needs, educate them on our product offerings, and recommend suitable products to improve the health of their animals. Operate a computer, cash register and accurately and efficiently complete customer transactions. Accurately balance cash drawers Stock and organize merchandise/front shelves. Monitor "dated" products and rotate as needed. Tag products and Shelves as needed with labels and pricing. Keep the store clean and tidy. Participate in physical inventory. Communicate courteously and effectively with internal and external customers. Follow all company polices and safety guidelines. Competencies High attention to detail. Communication Proficiency. High Ethical Conduct. Problem Solving/Analysis Skills. Required Education and Experience Knowledge of animals, animal care, animal health, livestock preferred. Basic computer skills required. Ability to maintain a positive attitude and passion for your job. Willingness to learn about our products to better serve our customers.
