Job DescriptionWe're looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Counter Sales Associate to join our dynamic team in Norman, Oklahoma. In this role, you'll be the welcoming face of our organization, delivering exceptional service to our valued customers while maintaining an organized and efficient sales counter. You'll combine your product knowledge with genuine interpersonal skills to create positive shopping experiences and drive customer satisfaction. Greet customers warmly and professionally, addressing their inquiries and assisting them with purchases in a timely mannerOperate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently to process transactions, including cash, credit cards, and other payment methodsDemonstrate comprehensive product knowledge and provide informed recommendations to help customers make confident purchasing decisionsMaintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales counter area that reflects our company standardsHandle customer concerns and complaints with empathy and professionalism, working toward effective resolutionsRestock merchandise and assist with inventory management to ensure product availability and accuracyCollaborate with team members to maintain a positive, inclusive shopping environment and support overall store operationsPerform basic administrative tasks including record-keeping and documentation with attention to detailAssist with warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving activities, when neededAdhere to all company policies and procedures to ensure smooth, compliant operationsMaintain consistent attendance and punctuality to support team reliability and customer service excellence
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent2+ years of retail or customer service experienceDemonstrated ability to handle cash and process payments accuratelyReliable attendance and strong punctuality record
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectivelyStrong mathematical abilities for accurate transaction processing and cash reconciliationProficiency in operating Point of Sale (POS) systems and basic computer applicationsIn-depth product knowledge or proven ability to quickly learn and retain product informationDemonstrated customer service excellence with a friendly, supportive, and empathetic approachAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneouslyPhysical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds regularlyStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsTeam player mentality with collaborative and inclusive approach to working with colleaguesProblem-solving skills and ability to address customer concerns constructivelyExperience with inventory management and stock controlWillingness to pursue forklift certification (training provided)Professional appearance and demeanorTime management skills and ability to prioritize effectivelyAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
