Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable, friendly, and detail-oriented Budtender to join our dispensary team. As a frontline representative, you'll assist patients in selecting cannabis products tailored to their medical needs and preferences. Your role is essential in providing education, fostering trust, and ensuring a positive and compliant dispensary experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome patients with a warm, professional demeanor. Provide personalized product recommendations based on patient needs, preferences, budgets, and tolerance to cannabinoids and terpenes. Educate patients on strains, consumption methods, effects, dosing, and OMMA-compliant safe use practices. Stay informed on current cannabis products, industry trends, and evolving laws to maintain compliance and offer up-to-date guidance. Accurately process transactions using the dispensary's POS system. Verify patient IDs and medical licenses to ensure compliance with OMMA regulations. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dispensary environment. Communicate patient feedback and any operational concerns to management. Monitor inventory levels, restock displays, and assist with regular inventory audits.
Requirements:
Valid OMMA Employee Credential (Required) Previous experience as a budtender, or in retail/service industry preferred Strong understanding of cannabis strains, terpenes, cannabinoids, and their medicinal benefits Willingness to continue learning and staying current with cannabis science and regulations Proficient in POS systems and basic Microsoft Office applications Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when needed
