Full Time Summary:
Provides exceptional customer service to guests at all times; keeps a well-kept and clean environment for guests to enjoy; and stocks merchandise on a daily basis. Presents a professional demeanor and attitude. Escalates issues or provides pertinent information to immediate Supervisor for resolution.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensures all products and displays are merchandised effectively to maximize sales and profitability. 2. Delivers unparalleled customer service to each guest that enters the gift shop. 3. Performs many functional duties such as keeping a clean and safe work area, dusting display shelves, stocking merchandise, stocking cigarettes, counting change, and assuring accurate sales transactions. 4. Assists with resolving operational deficiencies in areas needing attention to maintain the highest level of operation. 5. Price marks each item in inventory; stocks; sorts/arranges and offers assistance in customer purchases. 6. Receives payment for merchandise for the amount of sale and makes change accordingly. 7. Applies knowledge of debit or credit card transactions to complete sale or credit. 8. Utilizes and records accurate transactions or shift information on report, log, or documentation as instructed. 9. Assists with ordering new and old inventory items so merchandise is not depleted. 10. Utilizes skill to display items, restock or order items, as necessary. 11. Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or GED; and/or combination of education & experience.
EXPERIENCE 1
year retail and cashier experience required; minimum 6 months data entry, cash handling, or general clerical experience required. Casino retail or merchandising experience preferred.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS MCN OPG
Gaming License is required. Key positions require knowledge and application of Title 31 reporting requirements Food Handlers required and Liquor License Required Must have the ability to pass comprehensive background check, drug test, and obtain gaming license as required.
JOB DEMANDS

Tasks may require sitting, standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling & grasping. Length of time may vary from day to day and task to task. Ability to maneuver in all areas of casino, frequent ascent/descent from bus stairs, travel to various on/off site venues, which may involve elevation changes in surfaces. Ability to lift at least 35 lbs. Visual acuity to discern and examine text, graphics, color and symmetry. Speech to communicate clearly, express ideas and convey information in an understandable manner. Ability to hear for listening comprehension and to understand ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and examine documents, records and files.
