Job Description
Job Overview We are looking for a machine shop lead for one of our machine shops. This shop machines primarily aluminum and brass on late model Haas machines, both milling and turning. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily machine shop activities, ensuring production schedules are met with precision and efficiency Setup machines / fixture change overs. Lead setup, operation, and troubleshooting of CNC machines such as CNC lathes and milling machines, primarily Haas equipment. Read and interpret parts prints to ensure specifications are met Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges and other inspection tools. Collaborate with engineering teams on prototype development, tooling design, and assembly processes. Conduct regular inspections of tooling, fixtures, and machining equipment; coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying waste reduction opportunities and streamlining workflows Train team members on machine operation, safety procedures, use of precision measuring instruments, and best practices in machining Standard schedule is a 4 day work week, Monday through Thursday 6 am to 4 pm. Individual needs to be self motivated and a team player. Clean background check is required. Pay is commensurate on experience and opportunities for advancement based upon contribution to the team.
