Job Description

CRAVE MORE COLORFUL SURROUNDINGS?
Do you enjoy art, craft, and people too? Are you great in retail sales and customer service? Bullseye Glass Co., an international art glass manufacturer, seeks a part-time Sales Associate to join the team at its Resource Center in Portland, OR. Join a 50-year legacy of supplying the world with art glass that appears in museums, cathedrals, parks, courthouses, hospitals—even the US Capitol Dome. Locally owned and operated since 1974, Bullseye Glass Co. is a growing company that has always worked shoulder-to-shoulder with artists and architects, uniting creativity and industry, inspiration and perspiration. The Resource Center is a synthesis of retail store offering art-glass supplies and a teaching studio helping customers to work with glass. The Sales Associate will sell Bullseye products and classes, create in-store displays and educational samples, receive and manage inventory, and assist in the daily running of the store. The qualified candidate will be an upbeat people person with excellent communication skills, have at least 2 years of retail sales or customer service experience and pay close attention to detail. Additional skills that are helpful are: having hands-on experience in the arts with an emphasis in ceramics or glass and having knowledge of art history and aesthetics. Bachelor's degree in Studio Art helpful. The Portland Resource Center is open 7 days a week. This position's regular schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10a-3p. Depending on store & studio events, additional hours may be added to this weekly schedule occasionally.
