Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Automotive Parts Counter Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the vital link between our inventory and our customers, helping them find the right parts quickly and efficiently. Your enthusiasm and expertise will drive sales, enhance customer satisfaction, and contribute to the smooth operation of our parts department. Duties Assist customers in identifying and selecting automotive parts and accessories through knowledgeable product recommendations Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems while handling cash, credit, or electronic payments Manage inventory levels by stocking shelves, conducting inventory control, and ensuring product availability for customers Collaborate with the service team to support automotive repair and maintenance operations by providing timely parts support Maintain organized records of sales, orders, and inventory using tools like Microsoft Excel or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) Engage in upselling and negotiation to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer needs are met Provide excellent customer service by answering inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy Skills Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and automotive repair processes Excellent communication skills in multiple languages (bilingual/multilingual abilities are a plus) Proven experience with inventory management, stock control, order fulfillment, and retail math principles Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and cash handling protocols Ability to negotiate effectively with customers and suppliers to secure favorable terms Knowledge of dealership operations, automotive service standards, and marketing strategies is advantageous Organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records and managing multiple tasks efficiently Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, automotive diagnostics tools, CMMS software, and basic automotive repair techniques Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills to build lasting relationships with clients Join us as an Automotive Parts Counter Sales Associate where your passion for cars combined with your sales expertise will drive success!
