20-25 hours a week About Us At Ann McCulloch Shop and Studio, we are passionate about providing high-quality furniture, home décor, and an elevated customer experience. We do have a design business and retail business, however we will be phasing out our design projects to focus on retail and furniture sales. Our team values creativity, organization, communication, and exceptional service in every aspect of the business. Position Summary Ann McCulloch Shop and Studio is seeking a motivated, organized, and personable Retail Associate that has experience with bookkeeping to join our growing team. This position combines retail sales, customer service, and bookkeeping/operations responsibilities. The ideal candidate has a passion for customer service and organization, enjoys working with all types of people, and is comfortable balancing both creative and administrative tasks in a fast-paced retail environment. We need someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, proactive, and excited to contribute to the daily success of the shop and studio. This is a part-time role. You may be required to complete work throughout the day while on the shop floor. Key Responsibilities Retail Sales & Customer Experience Assist customers with furniture and home décor selections while providing excellent customer service and product knowledge. Process sales transactions, follow up on orders and deliveries, and maintain customer communication for any custom orders. Tag and receive orders for the store Support showroom merchandising, inventory organization, signage, and overall store appearance. (Light cleaning will be required) Operations & Bookkeeping Support Assist with bookkeeping tasks including receipt organization, accounts payable/receivable, expense tracking, and reconciliations. Support daily cash handling and operational spreadsheets. Provide general administrative and operational support to management as needed. Large Project -
Help Needed:
Catching up on bookkeeping for the last 6-8 months with supervision of managers Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent required Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial organization. Basic proficiency with Shopify, QuickBooks, Google Suite, spreadsheets, and Microsoft products Preferred Previous retail, customer service, administrative, or bookkeeping experience preferred. Comfortable managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with technology including Dropbox, Canva, POS systems, and Apple products. Ability to lift and move inventory and furniture items as needed (up to 75 lbs. with appropriate equipment and safety techniques). Availability to work weekends, holiday seasons, special events, and flexible retail hours as needed (this is negotiable and mainly need help during events!)
