Hardware Team Member

Ace Hardware is looking for full-time and part-time hardware team members for their Saint Helens, OR location. This fast-paced, busy hardware store needs people with a good work ethic, a cheerful, mature disposition, and a rudimentary understanding of DIY home and garden projects. Experience with retail, gardening, and other home projects is preferred, but we will train the right candidates.

Job Summary:

Provide customer service and satisfaction by ensuring that all merchandise is correctly ticketed, stocked, and paid for before being taken from the store. Responsibilities and Duties Greet customers as they enter the store Scan customers' items through the register quickly and correctly Process payments and count correct change back to customers Thank customers for their business when they leave Stock shelves and assist customers Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications and Skills Must be flexible with scheduling; including working evenings, weekends, and holidays. Friendly, helpful, customer-oriented personality Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills Experience in retail preferred Experience with cash register preferred Must be computer literate & understand basic math skills Must be 18 years or older Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Must pass a pre-employment drug test (including THC)
