This role is a great fit for someone who is comfortable working with customer/vendor communication , product data, order entry, and product pricing . The position will support our inside sales team, purchasing process, pricing updates, vendor follow-up, order entry, and daily operations. We are a small business, so we are looking for someone who is willing to help in multiple areas and take ownership of important day-to-day tasks. This is not a purely customer-service role. A large part of the job involves purchasing support, pricing, spreadsheets, product information, and detail-oriented follow-up. Final compensation will depend on Excel skills, purchasing/order entry experience, and relevant wholesale/distribution experience with room for growth. Responsibilities Support inside sales with quotes, order entry, product availability, and customer questions Assist with resolving customer order questions, pricing issues, and product lookups Assist with purchasing, vendor follow-up, and purchase order support Help maintain pricing, product costs, vendor codes, and customer pricing information Work in Excel to review product lists, price changes, costs, margins, and item data Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, backorders, and purchase orders Coordinate with shipping and warehouse staff on order status, backorders, and fulfillment issues Help enter, review, and maintain accurate item, customer, and vendor information in our systems Support daily office operations as needed in a small-business environment Qualifications Strong Excel skills required Comfortable working with numbers, pricing, costs, margins, and product data Highly detail-oriented and organized Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask and switch between sales support, purchasing, pricing, and operations tasks Comfortable communicating with customers, vendors, and internal team members Prior experience in purchasing, inside sales support, customer service, wholesale, distribution, order entry, inventory, or operations is a plus Experience with NetSuite or another ERP system is a plus, but not required Willingness to learn our products, systems, and business processes Excel / Data Skills Candidates should be comfortable using Excel for day-to-day work, including: Sorting and filtering data Reviewing and comparing price lists Working with product spreadsheets Basic formulas Formatting and cleaning up spreadsheets Comparing costs, pricing, and margins Experience with VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, pivot tables, or larger data sets is a strong plus, but we are open to training the right person who has strong attention to detail and comfort with numbers. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, comfortable with spreadsheets, and willing to learn. You do not need to know our industry on day one, but you do need to be accurate, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling multiple tasks.
