This dynamic role offers an exciting opportunity to share your passion for wine while providing exceptional customer service in a lively outdoor setting. You'll be the face of our wine booth, engaging with diverse customers, guiding them through our selection, and creating memorable shopping experiences. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting wines that suit their preferences and needs Conduct product demonstrations and tastings to educate customers about different wines and pairing options Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing Upsell products by recommending complementary items and promoting special offers to increase sales Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure the wine area is well-stocked, organized, and inviting Manage inventory levels by rotating stock, and recording product quantities accurately Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering recommendations, and ensuring a positive shopping experience

Requirements:

Valid Driver's License Reliable transportation capable of hauling a pop up tent and sales equipment. Ability to lift 40lbs (8 cases) High energy people person. Reliability. Experience Previous retail sales experience, preferably in grocery stores or specialty food/wine shops Supervising experience or leadership roles in retail environments are highly valued Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic retail math to ensure accurate transactions Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in English; bilingual abilities are a plus Experience conducting product demos or tastings to educate and excite customers about wine selections Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising techniques, and stock management practices Demonstrated phone etiquette skills for handling inquiries professionally over the phone This role offers a lively work environment where your enthusiasm for wine can shine!
