Job Description

Longwood Gardens is seeking a part-time Retail Stock Associate to support the day-to-day operations of the stock room.
Responsibilities include:
Adhering to all Longwood safety policies and procedures Unpacking and processing all merchandise received from vendors Completing all processing and receiving activities in accordance with productivity standards timelines Participating in stockroom maintenance, organization, and housekeeping Assisting in replenishment of stock onto the sales floor Assisting in the movement of fixtures and merchandise for new product and seasonal change Assisting in bi-annual physical inventory process This is a permanent, year-round position (not seasonal). The work schedule varies (up to 28 hours/week) and includes weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality Able to work independently with supervisory direction Basic math skills Ability to stand for long periods of time while processing shipments Ability to work in varying weather conditions Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with unloading delivery trucks Strong communication and organizational skills Good understanding of warehouse safety regulations and team mentality Longwood Gardens is committed to nurturing a diverse and inclusive environment that celebrates the complexities and differences of all living things.
