TAIT's 20 global offices have developed iconic productions and experiences in over 30 countries, all seven continents, and even outer space for renowned performers, theme parks, exhibits, and venues across the globe, including partnerships with Taylor Swift, Cirque Du Soleil, Royal Opera House, Nike, NASA, Bloomberg, Google, Beyoncé, and The Olympics Position Purpose As a Process Lead within the Hoist Mechanic group, your primary responsibility is overseeing, planning, and executing the daily activities of the department and the mechanics within their group. This role entails overseeing and enhancing the efficiency, quality, and safety of processes. You will work closely with the Manager and team to identify process improvements, implement best practices, and ensure that repair and inspection tasks are executed seamlessly and in compliance with industry standards. Your leadership will be instrumental in streamlining operations, reducing costs, and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement, ultimately contributing to the successful execution of live events and enhancing the overall audience experience. Essential Responsibilities & Accountabilities Lead a small, diverse group of individuals with varying skills to completion of project goals by supporting team collaboration and cooperation. Answer technical questions from members across the organization associated with hoist-related inquiries. Organize and manage workflow for team members to clearly understand their duties; Delegate tasks to ensure critical timing for project delivery. Share skills and knowledge with others to help with department development. Assist with training employees within the department. Perform and document inspections of all Hoists and accessories ensuring a seamless process across the department. Communicate with management on projects and team performance. Keep a clean, organized, and safe workspace, including tools and equipment. Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. Attend meetings, seminars, and training sessions as required. Engage in training/development programs to enhance skills. Minimum Qualifications 6+ years of experience working with various types of hoists, rigging, and automation, ideally in an entertainment setting. High School Degree or GED. Nav Hoist experience (i.e. troubleshooting, maintenance, and F.A.T.) Maintained CM-ET Lodestar and other as needed certifications. Advanced mechanical and troubleshooting skills. Advanced electrical knowledge. Experienced with Rental Works, CxAlloy, Epicor, Slack, and Box. Experience leading small teams. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is required to frequently walk, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, stoop, and kneel each day.
