Job Summary Join our dynamic retail team as a Cashier/Sales Associate, where your enthusiasm and customer-focused attitude will drive memorable shopping experiences. In this role, you will be the friendly face that assists customers with their purchases, manages transactions efficiently, and promotes products through engaging demos and upselling techniques. Your energy and communication skills will help create a welcoming environment, ensuring every customer leaves satisfied and eager to return. Duties Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges while handling cash, credit cards, and mobile payments with precision. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and offering product recommendations tailored to their needs. Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customers to explore new items and make informed purchasing decisions. Assist with merchandising efforts by organizing displays, stocking shelves, and ensuring the sales floor remains attractive and well-maintained. Engage in upselling strategies to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone inquiries or follow-up calls, ensuring clear communication at all times. Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels, assisting with stocking tasks, and participating in regular inventory counts. Requirements Previous experience with POS systems and cash handling is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills are a plus for candidates interested in growth opportunities. Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively. Strong communication skills with a focus on excellent phone etiquette and active listening. Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions, discounts, and pricing adjustments. Experience in grocery stores or retail sales environments is advantageous.
