Retail Clerk

Overview SANDY'S operates a chain of convenience retail stores across Pennsylvania. We are your everyday shop for fresh grab-and-go selections, snacks, beverages, coffee, PA lottery, Skills games, and fuel services. Our Saint Mary's Tobacco Outlet is looking for a Part-Time Retail Clerk to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be the friendly face that assists shoppers, manages transactions, and ensures the store remains organized and inviting. You will also be trained in Subway food preparation. Your proactive approach and excellent communication skills will help drive sales and foster customer loyalty. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your retail skills while contributing to a vibrant team environment. Must have open availability on the weekends and evenings. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their shopping experience Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented through effective merchandising techniques Handle cash, process payments accurately, and perform cash handling duties with integrity Maintain store cleanliness and organization by stocking shelves and managing inventory levels Upsell products by recommending additional items that meet customer needs, boosting overall sales performance Skills Previous experience in retail sales is preferred but not mandatory. Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Experience with cash handling and operating a cash register is a plus. Ability to effectively communicate with customers. A proactive approach to upselling products and enhancing customer satisfaction. Strong organizational skills to maintain stock levels and store presentation. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed. Pay:
