Job Description:
About the Company Higher Information Group LLC is seeking a Print Shop Specialist to support the daily operations of an in-house print shop for Pleasant Valley School District. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, mechanically inclined, customer-service focused, and experienced in print production and copier support. About the Role The Print Shop Specialist will be responsible for managing print requests, operating production equipment, maintaining copier functionality, monitoring supplies, and serving as a key point of support for district staff. This position plays an important role in ensuring efficient, high-quality print services across the district. Responsibilities Operate high-speed production copiers and print shop equipment, including computers, jogger, stapler, and cutter Process and prioritize incoming copy requests by due date, color/monochrome requirements, and volume Troubleshoot copier and equipment issues and perform limited maintenance such as cleaning, toner replacement, and minor repairs Place service calls when equipment support is required Support district staff with copier and print-related operational questions Communicate with staff by phone and email regarding print shop requests and workflow Maintain organized record-keeping systems for print shop operations Monitor, order, receive, and organize supplies including toner, staples, and paper for the print shop and school buildings Prepare, bundle, and deliver print jobs and supplies as needed Perform lamination services Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment Meet regularly with district contacts to review performance, workflow, and operational needs Participate in account review meetings and act as a liaison to support a positive client relationship Qualifications Experience in print shop, copier, or production print environment preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with staff at all levels Canon certification preferred PaperCut knowledge helpful Ability to lift at least 50 pounds Schedule Monday through Friday Standard hours: 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM Schedule may be flexible based on district needs Pay range and compensation package Higher Information Group LLC is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
