Lead Quality Engineer (Retail & Supply Chain)

at Cognizant in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description About the role As a Lead Quality Engineer (Retail & Supply Chain) , you will make an impact by driving enterprise-scale quality engineering strategies and delivering robust, automated testing solutions for high-impact digital products in the Retail and Supply Chain domain (required). You will be a valued member of the engineering team and work collaboratively with product management, development, and operations stakeholders. In this role, you will:

• Lead and implement quality engineering strategies to ensure high-performing, resilient merchandising applications
• Design and scale automated testing frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript for functional, regression, and end-to-end testing
• Build and maintain API test automation using Rest Assured to ensure integration quality, data accuracy, and performance
• Integrate automated testing into Azure-based CI/CD pipelines to improve release speed and defect detection
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define acceptance criteria, quality metrics, and ensure alignment with retail business workflows Work model We strive to provide flexibility wherever possible.

• Strong experience in Playwright and TypeScript for test automation
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot for development productivity and code quality
• Expertise in Azure DevOps / CI-CD pipelines and automated test execution
• Proven background in Retail and Supply Chain domain
• Experience building API automation frameworks using Rest Assured These will help you stand out
• Experience with large-scale retail transformation programs
• Strong root cause analysis and defect prevention capabilities
• Experience optimizing test data for retail workflows (inventory, pricing, promotions, fulfillment)
