Overview Join our dynamic team as a Parts Counter Associate, where you'll be the vital link between our customers and the automotive parts they need to keep their vehicles running smoothly. This energetic role offers the opportunity to engage with a diverse customer base, manage inventory efficiently, and provide expert guidance on automotive repairs and maintenance. Whether assisting with vehicle diagnostics or managing parts inventory, you'll play a key role in ensuring our dealership operates seamlessly and efficiently. Responsibilities Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct automotive parts and accessories, providing detailed product information and recommendations. Manage inventory control by stocking, organizing, and maintaining parts shelves to ensure accurate stock levels and easy accessibility. Process sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems, handle cash and electronic payments with professionalism. Collaborate with service technicians to fulfill parts orders promptly, ensuring timely delivery for vehicle repairs and maintenance. Maintain detailed records of inventory using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or similar software, tracking part movements and stock levels. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone or in person, demonstrating strong communication skills and product knowledge. Support marketing efforts by promoting special offers or new products to enhance sales opportunities within the retail environment. Skills Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repair processes, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Proven negotiation skills to assist customers effectively while maximizing sales opportunities. Experience with inventory management systems, POS platforms, and retail math for accurate order fulfillment. Bilingual or multilingual abilities to serve diverse customer populations more effectively. Familiarity with CMMS software for tracking parts inventory and maintenance schedules. Excellent communication skills combined with phone etiquette to handle customer inquiries professionally. Organizational skills necessary for stocking, order fulfillment, and maintaining a clean work environment. Dealership experience or background in automotive service enhances your ability to understand technical requirements.
