  • Part-time Overview We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team.
In this role, you will be the face of our on-site giftshop providing exceptional service to our customers while supporting daily operations. Your responsibilities will include assisting customers with their purchases, managing inventory, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. Ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills and a passion for retail sales. Duties Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with product inquiries and purchases. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and basic math calculations. Maintain an organized and visually appealing store through effective merchandising and stocking practices. Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits. Upsell products by understanding customer needs and recommending suitable options. Ensure compliance with phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries. Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting discrepancies. Foster a positive shopping environment through excellent customer service and communication skills. Stay familiar with the store's merchandise to answer questions and provide informed recommendations. Help maintain product displays and ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and visually appealing. Share guest feedback, requests, and suggestions with the team to improve service and product offerings. Resolve minor customer concerns in a professional manner and escalate as necessary. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clientele. Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations. Experience with merchandising techniques to enhance product visibility.
