Retail Store Associate Juliano's Pools West Columbia, SC Job Details Full-time From $18 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Merchandising Filing Maintenance Driver's License Retail math Full Job Description Overview We are seeking a dependable, energetic, and customer-focused Retail Store Associate to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. As the friendly face of our store, you will assist customers with their pool care needs, support daily store operations, and help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to develop retail and customer service skills, gain valuable industry knowledge, and grow within the company. Training will be provided for specialized tasks, including water testing and product recommendations. Key Responsibilities Open and close the store according to company procedures Greet customers and provide exceptional customer service Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers or take accurate messages Communicate effectively with the Service Manager and General Manager Perform water testing and explain results, products, and treatment recommendations to customers (training provided) Assist customers with product selection, pricing, and pool care solutions Process sales transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system Stock shelves, replenish inventory, and maintain attractive product displays Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering products and supplies Maintain a clean, organized, and professional store environment, including restrooms and sales areas Perform light exterior cleaning and maintenance around the front of the building File invoices and maintain organized records Run occasional errands to suppliers, job sites, or other company locations as needed Complete additional duties and projects as assigned Qualifications Previous retail sales experience preferred Basic understanding of retail operations and customer service Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently Ability to lift, stock, and organize merchandise as needed Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities Valid Drivers License Schedule Requirements Applicants must be available to work every other Saturday during our busy season. This requirement is mandatory.
