FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

The ideal candidate has previous retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma or GED, a warm, friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. He or she must be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time. The Center Associate delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for shipment and operating printers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices as well as offering designing and printing projects for customers. The Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services, and best-value options and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Is able to work at The UPS Store located at 541 South Willow Ave Suite 101, Cookeville, TN 38501. Delivers exceptional customer experience to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries Takes ownership of the customer's needs and offers viable solutions Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends Receives and processes packages for shipping including packing, weighing and generating label Is able to design and execute print projects or be willing to learn with provided training. Preference given to those with Adobe Creative Suite Experience Operates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others Maintains a clean and safe working environment Assists in merchandising the center including stocking products, ensuring orderly appearance of product, and taking inventory Records all sales transactions completely and accurately in Point-Of-Sale system Answers phones courteously and provides accurate, detailed information Communicates effectively and continuously practices good listening with customers, co-workers, vendors, and leadership Completes tasks independently in a quick turn environment Follows and understands quality guidelines Frequently multi-tasks while maintaining extreme attention to detail and high-quality control Helps with other Center functions as needed, such as faxing, copying, laminating, and binding Interprets a variety of instructions provided in written or verbal form Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends Performs other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED required Retail/customer service experience Good communication and people skills Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites Outstanding phone and people skills; friendly, outgoing, and communicates well Strong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and math Prompt, reliable, and responsible Able to lift 45+ pounds
