Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Garden Center Retail Associate to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant retail environment, assisting customers with their gardening needs while maintaining the organization and presentation of our garden center. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for gardening, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. Duties Assist customers in selecting plants, gardening supplies, and related products by providing knowledgeable advice and personalized recommendations. Maintain the organization, cleanliness, and visual merchandising of the garden center to ensure an inviting shopping environment. Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for sales transactions, including cash handling and processing payments accurately. Stock shelves, manage inventory levels, and ensure products are properly labeled and displayed according to merchandising standards. Support landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, plant care, and general upkeep of outdoor displays when needed. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, offering gardening tips, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Requirements Prior experience in retail sales or customer service within a garden center or related environment is preferred. Ability to operate POS systems and handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining organizational skills. Enthusiasm for gardening, horticulture, and outdoor work with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail setting while providing exceptional customer service.
