Overview Join our vibrant retail team as a Retail Liquor Sales Specialist, where your enthusiasm and customer service skills will create a lively shopping experience for our guests. In this role, you'll be the friendly face guiding customers through our extensive selection of beverages, ensuring they find exactly what they need while enjoying a positive and engaging atmosphere. Your energy and attention to detail will help promote responsible sales, maintain store standards, and contribute to a dynamic retail environment that values teamwork and excellence. Duties Assist customers in selecting products by providing knowledgeable recommendations, product demos, and upselling techniques to enhance their shopping experience Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing Maintain accurate stock levels through merchandising, stocking shelves, and organizing displays to attract customer attention Ensure compliance with all legal regulations regarding alcohol sales, including verifying IDs and practicing responsible selling Conduct product demos to educate customers about new or featured items, encouraging additional sales Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions via phone or in person with professional phone etiquette and communication skills Support store cleanliness and organization to create an inviting shopping environment consistent with retail standards Qualifications Previous retail sales experience, preferably in grocery stores or liquor outlets, with supervising experience considered an asset Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for cash handling and transaction accuracy Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer needs effectively Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, and grocery store operations is highly desirable Ability to perform cashiering duties accurately while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills Experience in product demonstrations, upselling strategies, and retail math techniques to maximize sales opportunities A proactive team player with supervising experience who thrives in fast-paced environments and values responsible alcohol sales practices
