Job Description

Full job description The Center Associate delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices. The Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services, and best-value options and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry. The ideal candidate has previous retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma or GED, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. He or she must be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Smile. Greet customers and present world-class customer service Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with their inquiries and purchases Receive and process packages for courier shipping, including lifting and weighing packages on shipping scales, accessing Manifesting software, generating labels and retrieving from customer's vehicle when requested. Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with their inquiries and purchases Process corporate account program returns (i.e., AMAZON, AT&T/DIRECT TV, XFINITY, etc.) Assist in communicating with customers concerning package tracking, late delivery and damage claims. Receive, sort and place mail in mailbox modules accurately. Record all sales transactions on POS and accurately process cash and credit card transactions. Pack contents for shipping using established procedures and products. Print customers shipping labels and other documents from email. Assist in merchandising the center, including stocking shelves with product, ensuring a clean and orderly appearance of product, informing appropriate personnel of inventory levels for re-ordering supplies, being informed of product specifics (i.e., warranties, durability claims, pricing, etc.) Close out of POS to include reconciliation of cash, checks, credit cards, and all other transactions accurately and in accordance with Company policy and procedure. Operate copiers, fax machines, binding equipment and all other office machines in a safe, efficient and productive manner. Help customers operate office machines. Meet or exceed sales goals and targets General housekeeping duties. Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED Retail/customer service experience Good communication and people skills Able to cross-sell and up-sell products and services Excellent packing skills Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites Outstanding phone skills Strong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and math Prompt, reliable, and responsible Able to lift 50 pounds Available to work in the weekend Willingness to become a notary Strong time management and organizational skills Ability to work well in a team environment Customer-focused with a positive attitude Ability to multitask and handle multiple customers simultaneously Education and/or
Experience:
1-2 years customer service experience in a retail environment. Computer experience highly desirable.
Language Skills:
Ability to use tact and diplomacy to maintain harmonious relationships with customers in person and over the phone.
Pay:
$10.00 - $11.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 39.0 per week
