This energetic position offers the opportunity to engage with diverse customers, showcase products through demos, and contribute to a lively retail environment. You'll be the friendly face that guides customers through their shopping and pawn experiences, ensuring they feel valued and informed every step of the way. Whether handling cash, performing product demonstrations, or merchandising displays, your enthusiasm and communication skills will drive success in this fast-paced setting. Responsibilities Assist customers with pawn transactions, including appraisals, loans, and buy-sell decisions, ensuring accuracy and transparency. Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for sales, cash handling, and record keeping. Provide engaging product demos to highlight features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities. Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts to maximize sales potential. Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries via phone etiquette and in person with professionalism and enthusiasm. Support retail sales initiatives by promoting products, conducting product demos, and upselling when appropriate. Manage inventory levels, restock shelves, and ensure the sales floor is organized and inviting for shoppers. Supervise or assist in supervising team members when needed, fostering a collaborative work environment. Communicate effectively with bilingual customers to ensure clear understanding and satisfaction. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred; strong familiarity with POS systems is a plus. Supervising experience or leadership skills are advantageous for supporting team operations. Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening abilities. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for cash handling and retail math tasks. Bilingual proficiency is highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base effectively. Demonstrated ability to upsell products through engaging demonstrations and customer interactions. Strong merchandising skills with an eye for visual presentation and organization on the sales floor. Experience with stock management, stocking shelves, and maintaining an orderly retail space.
