The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while facilitating the buying, selling, and pawning of various items. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of retail operations. Duties Assess the value of items brought in for pawn or sale, utilizing knowledge of market trends and retail math. Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients with their transactions and inquiries. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using a Point of Sale (POS) system. Maintain an organized stock area, ensuring that all items are properly displayed and accounted for. Supervise staff as needed, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Communicate effectively over the phone and in person, demonstrating professional phone etiquette. Conduct regular inventory checks to manage stock levels and identify potential issues. Stay informed about industry trends to provide customers with relevant information regarding their items. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred. Strong basic math skills to accurately assess values and handle cash transactions. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems. Experience in supervising staff is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette. A background in grocery store operations or similar retail environments is beneficial but not required.
