Seasonal Store/Bait Camp Clerk

Reports to: General Manager The boating season is upon us and Galveston Yacht Marina is looking for 2 reliable people to help us at our store/bait camp this summer. The Seasonal Bait Camp Store Clerk's responsibility is to provide retail service to customers at the marina bait camp.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide immediate assistance to customers in the marina bait camp Provide friendly service while selling and stocking inventory Rake the tanks every two hours and record dead loss in shrimp book Clean boat ramp Drain tanks to clean water pipes Perform other duties as assigned or apparent

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

Act with the highest level of integrity and maintain a positive attitude Must be age 18 or older Ability to work weekends, holidays, early mornings, and evenings Strong passion for providing excellent hospitality and customer service Maintain a thorough understanding of all marina operations to be able to assist at all times Adaptable to work composed of a variety of different tasks Ability to manage multiple projects at a time despite interruptions Ability to make independent decisions and determine the appropriate course of action Professional conduct and excellent interpersonal and communication skills with team members, customers, tenants, vendors, and government personnel Math computation skills Strong work ethic and personal commitment Ability to work in a team environment to achieve team, department, and company goals Ability to be a self-starter and work independently Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work Adaptable to a fast-paced environment Good presentation, facilitation, and computer skills
