Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and friendly Cashier/Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. Your ability to engage with customers and promote our products will be key to driving sales and enhancing the shopping experience. Duties Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide product recommendations. Upsell products by demonstrating features and benefits effectively. Conduct product demos to showcase new items or promotions. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and sales floor. Provide excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone. Supervise junior staff as needed, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Skills Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail. Proven ability in upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases. Experience with product demonstrations that effectively showcase features. Collaborative mindset for working in a team-oriented sales environment. Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing. Proficient in using POS systems for efficient transaction management. Supervisory skills to guide and support less experienced staff members. Excellent phone etiquette for effective communication with customers. Background in retail sales, showcasing an understanding of customer service dynamics.
