Abby's Catering is looking for a CASR-Associate (Custom Approved Store Room) to join our Warehouse Operations team near IAH Airport. The Role:
Customs Bonded Storeroom Operations:
Receive, inspect, segregate, and document all incoming bonded goods. Maintain a real-time inventory and prepare documentation required for CBP compliance audits.
Receiving & Inventory Management:
Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and manifests using FIFO rotation. Perform cycle counts, manage par levels, and coordinate with culinary and purchasing teams to fulfill pull requests.
CBP Compliance:
Maintain strict, non-negotiable compliance with all CBP bonded storeroom regulations. Complete entry records, withdrawal logs, and destruction reports accurately and on time.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Act as the primary point of contact for CBP-related storeroom inquiries from our internal culinary, operations, and purchasing teams.
Safety & Facility Standards:
Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready storeroom while following all food safety, allergen handling, and HACCP protocols Requirements CBP Access Requirement (Non-Negotiable): Must be able to obtain and maintain CBP clearance and an Airport ID Badge with a CBP Seal (CBP Form 3078 required). Continued compliance with all CBP regulations is a mandatory condition of employment.
Experience:
1-2 years of experience in a warehouse, storeroom, or receiving role—preferably in food service, aviation catering, or a regulated environment. Experience working in an airport/aviation environment or a customs-bonded warehouse is strongly preferred.
Technical & Inventory Skills:
Proficiency with inventory management systems and strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel for inventory tracking, reconciliation, and reporting.
Detail-Oriented:
A demonstrated zero-tolerance approach to accuracy in documentation, data entry, manifest reconciliation, and record-keeping.
Language Skills:
English proficiency is required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are strongly preferred to support operational team communication.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift/carry up to 50 lbs. regularly. Must be able to tolerate varying temperature environments (refrigerated storage below 40°F, freezer, and hot kitchen areas) and wear required PPE. Valid driver's license required to safely operate a 26-ft box truck.
Pre-Employment Screening:
Must pass a background check, drug screening, and the airport badging/CBP application process.

Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, but flexibility is required for early, evening, and rare weekend shifts/deliveries.
