Cashier/Sales Associate

Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and motivated Cashier/Sales Associate to join our retail team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, handling transactions accurately, and assisting customers with product selections. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about retail sales, possess strong communication skills, and have experience with POS systems. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a diverse customer base. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs Operate POS systems efficiently for checkout and returns Handle cash, credit, and other payment methods accurately and responsibly Upsell products and promote special offers to enhance sales opportunities Conduct product demos when applicable to inform customers about features and benefits Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves and organizing displays Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and inventory counts Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction Support store operations through merchandising, cleaning, and ensuring the sales floor is inviting Demonstrate phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely Skills Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures Strong communication skills, including clear phone etiquette and customer interaction Basic math skills for cash register operations and retail math calculations Experience in retail sales, upselling, and product demonstrations Supervising experience is a plus for leadership opportunities within the team Bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer demographics effectively Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and inventory management in a grocery or retail environment Customer service orientation with the ability to engage positively with shoppers Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
