Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Gift Shop Associate to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing sales transactions, and ensuring the shop's merchandise is well-presented and stocked. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, retail experience, and a passion for creating a welcoming environment for visitors. Familiarity with retail operations such as POS systems and merchandising. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them with product selections Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges Upsell products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking Manage inventory levels by stocking shelves and organizing products Handle cash, process payments accurately, and perform cash handling duties Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly Ensure the shop remains clean, organized, and inviting at all times Requirements Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively Ability to perform upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities Experience in merchandising, stocking, and maintaining product displays Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly demeanor Professional phone etiquette for handling inquiries via phone or in person This position is ideal for individuals passionate about retail sales, customer service, and creating an enjoyable shopping experience.
