Taproom server/retail associate

Job Overview We are seeking a friendly, energetic Taproom Server/Retail Associate to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional guest service in a lively environment, managing sales transactions, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for visitors. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food and beverage industry, strong customer service skills, and experience with POS systems. Prior experience in hospitality, food service, or retail is preferred, along with a keen eye for detail and excellent communication abilities. TABC seller certification required. Responsibilities Take orders from guests accurately and efficiently, utilizing POS systems such as Square POS and Toast POS. Serve beverages and food items in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation. Manage sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing, ensuring accuracy at all times. Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the taproom and retail areas, adhering to food safety regulations. Apparel Sales and showroom maintenance, folding and merchandising clothing. Provide guest relations by answering questions about menu items, beverages, and local attractions. Support event functions such as hosting or bussing during busy nights or special events. Restock supplies, clean workstations, and ensure the overall tidiness of the taproom environment. Requirements Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is highly desirable; experience with fine dining or nightclub settings is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems including Square POS, Toast POS, and OpenTable is preferred. Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations and hospitality. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations efficiently. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple customers or retail transactions simultaneously during busy periods. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques. Experience in upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities. TABC Seller Certification Required Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or special events as needed.
