Job Description
Overview:
Provide customer service and sales assistance to fireworks stand customers. Perform a variety of duties related to the retail sales of fireworks and related products. Customer service, accurate sales register duties, stocking, cleaning, lifting, moving counting and safety are the main focus of this position. This is an hourly seasonal position June 24-July4 10am-10pm daily with extended hours on July 3 and 4. Perfect for college students, Teachers, retirees, High school students, anyone looking for summer work.Duties:
- Assist customers in locating products and making purchasing decisions
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Stock shelves and monitor inventory levels
- Provide product knowledge and recommendations to customers
- Upsell products to enhance customer experience
- Process transactions accurately and handle cash transactions
Skills:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds and use sharp knives, box cutters, and similar tools required.
- Must be able to sit in the heat in a roadside stand with no a/c for 12 hours
- Experience in retail sales is a bonus
- Proficiency in basic math for handling transactions
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
- Fluency in English is required, Spanish is a bonus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
