Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store. Operate cash registers efficiently, handling cash transactions accurately and securely. Utilize retail math skills to manage sales transactions and process returns or exchanges. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer shopping experience and increase sales. Maintain product displays and ensure that shelves are stocked appropriately. Provide knowledgeable assistance regarding product features, benefits, and promotions. Uphold store policies regarding cash handling and ensure compliance with all operational procedures. Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries or taking orders over the phone. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment. Experience Previous experience in retail sales is preferred but not required; we welcome candidates eager to learn. Proficiency in cash handling and experience with cash registers is highly desirable. Strong basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and inventory management. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as this can enhance communication with diverse customers. Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus but not mandatory. A proven track record of successful sales techniques, including upselling and customer engagement, will be advantageous.
