Full/Part Time Indoor/Outdoor Sales Associate New Braunfels, TX 78130 From $15 an hour - Part-time, Full-time From $15 an hour - Part-time, Full-time Garden Center Sales & Nursery Associate (Full-Time / Part-Time) We are seeking a dependable, customer-focused Garden Center Sales & Nursery Associate to join our team in New Braunfels . The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, has an interest in plants and gardening, and can provide outstanding customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. Plant knowledge and customer service experience are highly valued. Candidates who can confidently assist customers with plant selection, care recommendations, soils, mulch, and landscape materials will be given preference. This position involves assisting customers, maintaining nursery inventory, operating a cash register, and helping keep the garden center organized, stocked, and operating efficiently. Training will be provided for point-of-sale systems and company procedures. Responsibilities Greet customers promptly and provide friendly, knowledgeable service. Assist customers with plant selection, planting recommendations, plant care, pruning, and general gardening questions. Recommend appropriate soils, mulch, compost, fertilizers, and other garden-related products. Operate the cash register and process sales accurately. Assist with inventory organization, restocking, pricing, and merchandise displays. Help maintain accurate inventory records using our Clover POS system. Load plants, soil, mulch, and other materials for customers. Perform general nursery maintenance, including watering, pruning, cleaning, and organizing plant material. Follow daily opening, closing, and seasonal operational procedures. Maintain a clean, safe, and professional shopping environment.

Qualifications Preferred:

Knowledge of plants, horticulture, landscaping, gardening, or nursery operations. Experience working in retail, garden centers, nurseries, landscaping, agricultural, or related environments. Experience with inventory management, retail point-of-sale systems, or Clover POS. College coursework or a degree in horticulture, agriculture, business, or a related field.

Ability to resolve customer concerns professionally and courteously. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday. Schedule & Work Environment Full-time and part-time positions available. Must be available to work Saturdays and occasional holidays. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
