This is the first point of contact and sets the first impression of the store for donors. It is not just taking donations. It is building relationships with donors while keeping products flowing into the store. Directly impacts donation volume, quality, and donor retention. Primarily work outside or in the backroom/production area. Partners with Production Associates, Guest Services Associates, and Supervisors. Reports to Production Supervisor and Store Manager. Greet and assist all donors promptly, professionally, and safely. Provide a friendly, appreciative experience that reflects the organition's mission. Accept, sort, and stage donations for processing. Identify acceptable vs. non-acceptable items based on guidelines. Communicate clearly and respectfully when items cannot be accepted. Keep donation area moving smoothly during peak times, maintain an organized intake area to prevent bottlenecks, provide donation receipts accurately when requested. Maintain a clean/ safe donation area inside and outside, follow lifting guidelines and safe handling practices. Assist production team by pre-sorting donations, move donations into processing area, support production tasks when volume requires, occasionally assist the customer-facing tasks on the sales floor such as loading/unloading furniture. Primarily works outside or in the backroom/production area. Production Associates (25-29 hours per week) Turns donated items into sellable merchandise that drives revenue for the store's mission. Works primarily in the backroom/production area. Directly impacts store sales volume and revenue. Partners with Donor Services and Guest Services Associates. Reports to Production Supervisor and Store Manager. Sort donations by category, inspect item quality control and ensure that only sellable goods reach the sales floor, assign prices based on guidelines, tag and prepare the items for display, Meet daily/weekly output targets (rack or cart), Move product efficiently from donation intake to sorting, to pricing, to sales floor, Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work space, help pull or rotate merchandise on the sales floor. May assist guests as needed when on the floor putting merchandise on racks. Guest Services Associates (25-29 hours per week) This role is the face of the store. Primary role on the sales floor/front end. Directly impacts customer satisfaction and sales. Works closely with Production Associates and occasionally Donor Services team. Reports to Guest Services Supervisor and Store Manager. Greets Guests and creates a welcoming environment. Answers questions, aids, and resolves basic customer concerns. Supports a friendly, community-focused shopping experience. Operates the register accurately. Processes purchases, returns, and handles cash/card/voucher payments. Promotes add-ons like round-up donations to support the mission goals. Makes regular sale announcements informing Guests of specials and events going on in the store. Keeps shelves and racks, stocked, organized, and presentable. Assist with go-backs and restocking. Recover and straighten merchandise throughout the day. Assist customers in locating items. Helps maintain visual standards (color flow, category, sizing, and organization). Rotates merchandise as needed. Maintains a clean front-end, fitting rooms and sales floor. Follows safety and store standards. Requirements Able to lift, push, pull 20 pounds unassisted. Able to lift, push, pull 50 pounds assisted. Standing for long periods.
