Sales Associate duties and responsibilities may include working closely with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about our products and recommend the right solutions. You should be able to promptly resolve customer complaints and ensure maximum client satisfaction. To be successful as a Sales associate, you should stay up-to-date with product features and maintain our store's visual appearance in high standards. Ultimately, the duties of a sales associate are to achieve excellent customer service and be in tune with our constant strive for improvement. Responsibilities Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service Assess customers needs and provide assistance and information on products Welcome customers to the store and answer their queries Follow and achieve changing goals and be a part of our strive for improvement. "Go the extra mile" to drive sales and make sure all our customers leave with a smile Maintain in-stock and in presentable condition all areas of the small shop Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options Process POS (point of sale) purchases Be comfortable with and of age required by law to sell Alcohol, Lotto, and Tobacco products to eligible customers. You will mostly be working on your own , but you should be able to team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service and Shop up-keep when shifts overlap. Build productive trust relationships with customers Be able to perform with and handle cleaning products (dustpan, broom, mop etc.) and mild chemicals (Floor cleaner, Window Spray, etc.) in order to keep our store clean and hygienic. Be able to bend down and/or stretch to reach products from shelves with the help of stools or ladders if necessary. Be able to carry up to 20 pounds of product without accommodation. (12-packs of sodas, cases of drinks, 2-Liters of sodas, Cases of Water, etc.) Be involved and suggest ways to improve sales and customer satisfaction (e.g. planning marketing activities, changing the store's design) Skills No experience is required, Training will be provided so fast learners will thrive. Proven work experience as a Retail Sales associate, Sales representative or similar role is a bonus. Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices. Proficiency in English (Spanish is a Bonus). Basic Math skills and money handling. Hands-on experience with POS transactions or ability to learn. Solid communication and interpersonal skills A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus Availability to work a set schedule, we will work with your needs. High school degree or equivalent.
