Duties Engage with each customer, consultative selling and provide solutions Greeting all customers that walk into Pet evolution Engaging customers, determining their needs and informing them of products that meet those needs. Checking in and out all grooming and walk in services Promoting and selling our membership Good life membership program Being comfortable overcoming objections Providing excellent customer service. Time management. Engaging customers, determining their needs, and informing them of products that meet those needs. Continually educating yourself about pets, pet products, and services through classes, reading, on-the-job training, and other means as available. Keeping informed about sales promotions, contests, and goals. Operating a computer cash register and accurately and efficiently completing transactions. Accurately reconciling daily sales and monies. Answering phones and providing accurate information in a pleasant and professional manner. Cleaning the facility and equipment. Stocking and organizing merchandise. Regular stock checks, stock check-ins. Organize and assist with in-store and community events. Assisting customers with merchandise to their vehicle. Shrink and inventory awareness. Carrying out other duties assigned by supervisors in a cheerful and efficient manner Requirements Previous retail sales experience (3+ years) is a must, preferably some pet retail industry experince Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in both English and bilingual settings if applicable Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math to ensure accurate transactions Ability to perform merchandising tasks such as organizing displays and stocking shelves efficiently Experience with customer service in grocery store or retail environments highly desirable Demonstrated ability to upsell & cross-sell products by highlighting features and benefits during customer interactions Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to assist customers over the phone or in person This role is perfect for motivated individuals who love animals and thrive in dynamic retail environments.
