Job Description

Job Title:
Shop HandPosition Summary We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Shop Hand to support daily operations in our transmission and drivetrain repair facility. This position is responsible for receiving and organizing inventory, operating shop equipment, maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility, and assisting technicians with various shop duties. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, organized, willing to learn, and takes pride in producing quality work. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate a forklift to unload, move, and organize incoming shipments and inventory. Receive, inspect, and verify incoming parts and materials. Stock and organize parts in designated storage locations. Cut and machine flywheels according to shop specifications and procedures. Operate transmission dynamometer (dyno) equipment for testing transmissions. Clean and prepare transmission components and rear-end/differential parts for inspection and assembly. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including: Shop floors and work areas Bathrooms and break areas Equipment and tools Parts washing and cleaning stations Dispose of waste materials properly and follow all environmental and safety procedures. Assist technicians and shop personnel as needed. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Forklift experience preferred (training may be provided). Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn shop operations. Ability to safely operate shop equipment and power tools. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Dependable attendance and positive attitude. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and walk for extended periods. Ability to work in a shop environment with exposure to machinery, noise, grease, and varying temperatures. Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
