Duties Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to enhance their shopping experience Assist customers with product demos, answering questions about features and benefits to encourage sales Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions including cash handling and credit card processing Stock shelves, merchandise displays, and ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing Upsell products by highlighting promotions and complementary items to maximize sales opportunities Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or through online inquiries Supervise junior team members when needed, providing guidance on sales techniques and store procedures Qualifications Prior retail sales or cashiering experience preferred but not required; enthusiasm is key! Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers in a bilingual environment (English/Spanish or other languages) is a plus Demonstrated ability to perform basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demos enhances your fit for this role Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are essential for building positive relationships Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities within the team Familiarity with grocery store operations or retail environments helps in understanding store flow and customer needs This energetic role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their retail career in a lively setting.
